The Acts 2 Church

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47 (ESV)

The Acts 2 Church (A2) is a body of believers who strive live our lives, as best that we can, in the way that Jesus called us.  We want to follow God, to serve Him, and grow in His love and wisdom.  To help us accomplish this, we will serve the people God has in our lives, our families, our friends, and even people we don’t know.

A2 is not about a building, system, or program, it’s about BEING the church that the First century Christians modeled for us: to love God, love each other, serve God by serving others.  A2 is a group of believers who have grown tired with the trappings of organized religion and modern day church.  We believe that the Acts 2 Church can exist today, not in some cold building, but in each others homes, truly experiencing worship on a daily basis.  We want to know God and experience Him in ways that established churches do not facilitate.

We meet daily and weekly, online and unplugged, in our homes, in a restaurant, and over the phone. A2 is desperately trying to get BACK to what the First Century Christians had: a deep relationship with God, that empowered them to change the world!
